Privacy policy
How North Home Design Ltd handles your personal information.
Last updated: September 2026
North Home Design Ltd (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
When you use our contact form or email us we collect your name, email address, phone number, the property address and the details of your project that you choose to share. Our web server also records standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type in its logs.
Why we use it
We use this information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and, if you instruct us, to carry out the work – including submitting applications to local authorities, building control bodies and water companies on your behalf. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of that contract. We keep basic project records to meet our legal and professional obligations.
Who we share it with
We share your details with third parties only where necessary to deliver the service: for example the local planning authority, building control, the water company, a structural engineer or a surveyor working on your project. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 12 months. Project files, including drawings and correspondence, are kept for 6 years after completion because of contractual and professional liability periods.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us at info@nhdesignuk.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function. We do not use advertising cookies.
